Traditional Water Mill with Pool and Gardens
The Moulin de Monges is a beautifully restored water mill dating from the eighteenth
century occupying a secluded location in the valley of the Lemboulas.
The Mill
Providing independence and a great base for your holiday the mill which has been lovingly restored features traditional French architecture and comfortable living. With three double bedrooms and a large living area including a sofa bed it easily accommodates six and will stretch to eight if the sofa bed is used. The property has central heating so you can book all year round with confidence.
The main living area is open plan with a chestnut floor and beamed ceiling. Providing both a sofa and easy chairs this space is cool in the summer and warm in the winter thanks to the large open fire. An entertainment centre and TV are provided should you wish to use them or just relax with a good book and the local wine.
Kitchen and dining facilities are to the side of the living space, kitchen includes a range cooker together with fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher (who wants to wash up on holiday!). The dining area with a large table will seat eight with views down the meadow between the river and millstream.
Bathroom as you would expect provides shower, wash basin and toilet in addition a washing machine is provided.
All three bedrooms are good doubles featuring beamed ceilings, the first with views towards the ancient church has a double bed and wardrobe the other two bedrooms are also provided with wardrobes and twin beds.
Outside is where you will spend most of your time and so to the front of the mill is a garden for your exclusive use. This includes a BBQ and food preparation area. A beamed and tiled roof provides the all-essential shade over a terrace for outside dining around the table. We also have sun loungers and umbrellas for topping up the tan and if it gets too hot take a well-earned dip in the pool.
Children can be hard to please so you will be glad to hear that yours can share the use of the garden toys we provide in the extensive and fully enclosed gardens around the mill. The climbing frame, trampoline and playhouse should keep them occupied in hours of fun.
Baby seems to need a host of stuff and if you don’t drive a small van this can be difficult when travelling on holiday. We know this only too well and so we provide a travel cot, baby bath, high chair and stair gate to take some of the load off your shoulders and out of your car! Just let us know if you need any of this before you arrive and we’ll make sure that it’s there for you.
Set in fourteen acres of its own land and gardens with the river, mill stream, meadows and views of the ancient church at Saux this is the perfect spot for a relaxing break in the heart of traditional France. Five minutes from the town of Montpezat de Quercy with stunning views from the ramparts or ten minutes from Causade with its wonderful Monday markets and all the facilities you will need.
